Date: 2005/2007
Materials: Silver, Leather, Patine and Enamel
I
began producing
this piece
at the
end of the first
year of
the jewellery course,
as an
extra curricular
piece. The
design
is
a
stylized
drawing
of an
Egyptian ornament,
taken
from
an ornamentation
book. This
piece
evolved
from a
one-dimensional styling to a three-dimensional one in the second
year
of the
course.
The centre piece
was
initially thought to
be
a
gem
but, as
I could
not find one with
the
proper
size,
I decided to do it with black
enamel, giving
it the name
of "Black
Sun". I loved
the
final result.
