Silver Ashtray

First part, making the ashtray.

Second part, drawing the design to be chased into the ashtray.

Third part, transferring the design to a brass plate. I did some experiments before chasing the final piece.

Fourth part, transferring the design to the silver ashtray and chasing.

Materials: Silver and Patine.

This silver ashtray was the first work in the second year, in the silversmith workshop. Naturally I made several versions in brass before making the final piece in silver. The ornament was taken from an ornamentation book adapted into a circular shape to be inserted into the ashtray.  
I am really sorry for not having a final picture of the piece, as it turned out pretty spectacular.
